The Hindi language is a direct descendant of Sanskrit and dates back to 769 AD. The language gained prominence over time, known initially as Old Hindi and spoken in the areas around Delhi. It is the earliest stage of the Delhi dialect, serving as the ancestor both for Modern Hindi and Urdu.

Nepali and Hindi are similar in some ways but no so much. Both the languages are derived from Sanskrit language. The people in Terai who are Madhesi also speak similar type of language to hindi but still not the same. So we can say some are similar but most are not.

Both the verbs and grammars of Hindi and Urdu are the same. Thus they are the same languages. The mother language of Hindi (or Urdu) is Sanskrit. All the verbs of Hindi (or Urdu) are derived from Sanskrit, e.g. Karana, Khana, Khelana… are derived from Sanskrit Karoti, Khadati, Khelati.

However, due to migration and cultural diversity, especially in urban areas and among certain communities, Hindi may be spoken by some people as a secondary language or as a means of communication. Overall, while Hindi may have some presence in Odisha, it is not as common as Odia.

Middle Indo-Aryan to Hindi Like other Indo-Aryan languages, Hindi is a direct descendant of an early form of Vedic Sanskrit, through Shauraseni Prakrit and Śauraseni Apabhraṃśa (from Sanskrit apabhraṃśa "corrupt"), which emerged in the 7th century CE.

Tamil Nadu has not officially banned the Hindi language. However, there have been instances of opposition to the imposition of Hindi as a compulsory language in the state due to concerns about preserving Tamil language and culture.
