S=ut-1/2gt^2 let us solve this by going step by step 1. let us move ‘ut’ in the left hans side. Remember it will change its sign, as shown here: s-ut = -1/2gt^2 2. Multiply both the sides with negative (minus) , by doing this all positives will become negative and all negatives will become...

S=ut-1/2gt^2 let us solve this by going step by step 1. let us move ‘ut’ in the left hans side. Remember it will change its sign, as shown here: s-ut = -1/2gt^2 2. Multiply both the sides with negative (minus) , by doing this all positives will become negative and all negatives will become positive, notice the equation closely: -(s-ut) = -(-1/2gt^2) => ut-s = 1/2gt^2 3. Now we are multiplying both the sides with two, so that we will not have a fraction on the right hans side. Lets us do it like below: 2(ut-s) =2 x 1/2 gt^2 => 2(ut-s) = gt^2 4. Now divide both the sides by ‘t^2’ so that we will not have ‘t^2’ on the right side, something like this: 2(ut-s)/t^2 = g or; let us reverse the equation (this will not make any change in the value) g = 2(ut-s)/t^2 5. Let us assign all the given values to calculate ‘g’. See below: g = 2(50 x 10 - 10)/10^2 g = 2(500 – 10)/10 x 10 g = 2x490/100 g = 980/100 g = 9.8 hence the value of g is 9.8 units read less

i) g=2(ut-s)/t^2 ii) Put the value of t=10, s=10 and u =50 (which is given in the question) in the above formula. g=2(50*10-10)/10^2 = 4.9 Ans : 4.9
