For Writing Task 2, you are given a topic to write about, in an academic or semi-formal/neutral style. You have to make sure that you read the topic carefully and provide a relevant response. For example, if the topic is a particular feature of hollywood movies, you should focus only on that particular aspect of hollywood movies in your response and nothing else.
Therefore if you have specifically been asked 'whether the media reports too much bad news', you need to answer only on those lines, and in no other case you need to comment on whether the media reports too much bad news. Thanks, V Bhanot
