Shivam Keshari

I have been practising the classical Indian dance form of Kathak for over thirteen years now. I have pursued a Bachelor's degree from Banaras Hindu University, where I was trained under the renowned Kathak exponent Deepak Maharaj Ji. My passion for this art form has driven me to promote classical dance in India and internationally. I have performed in several national and international events, including the AIDA awards in UAE and Kuwait. In India, I have performed at festivals such as the Delhi Kathak Mohatsav, Ganga Mohatsav, Mahashivratri, and Khajrao Mohatsav.
I have also showcased my skills at the prestigious Shivagra festival as a Baratnatiyam exponent. My talent has been recognised by the Ministry of Performance, which invited me to perform at the Kalashram Jhankriti event. My hard work and dedication towards Kathak have paid off, as I have received several accolades for my performances. I am a gold medalist in Kathak from BHU and have been honoured with the Kashi Vaishwik Gaurav Sammaan.
Apart from being a performer, I am also a classical dance teacher. I teach Kathak and Barathnatiyam to students online and offline in groups of ten to twelve. I have a well-structured lesson plan for my 3-year course, which can help students attain certification from an affiliated university of classical dance.
Classical dance is a valuable cultural heritage that needs to be preserved and promoted. As a Kathak dancer and teacher, I strive to inspire more people to take up this art form and contribute towards its growth. I aim to continue spreading the joy of classical dance and encouraging more people to appreciate and embrace this beautiful art form.
