Coulomb's Law

Rajesh
18/04/2017 0 0

It states that when two stationary point charges are kept at certain distance then a force of attraction or repulsion acts between them which is directly propotional to product of their magnitude of the charges and inversely propotional to square of distance between them. Its direction is along line joining the two charges.

Here we should keep in mind that:

1 Coulomb's law is applicable for point and stationary charges.

2 nature of force i.e, attraction or repulsion depending on nature of charges.

3 Force is directly propotional to product of charges.

4 Force is inversely propotional to square of distance between charges. And lastly but most important.

5 It's direction is along line joining the two charges.
