ECET is the test conducted in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States for Diploma Holders, who when qualified in this test, can get lateral entry into the corresponding branch of B.Tech. course in respective States. If you are academically very bright and just joined the Diploma Course after completing Inter, you can consider appearing for EAMCET or still better IIT-JEE next year - but it involves loss of one year.
